Repeat snooze action for approximately 60 minutes, with the alarm going off each 5-minute interval. Got up and showered, hotel hair dryer caught on fire mid blow dry. Two words, stinky and scary. 1044am on the road again and made it to good ole’ Indianapolis with hopes of eating at this adorable fifty’s diner called, “Shelby’s Diner.” We arrive and to our surprise CLOSED SUNDAYS! Plan B white castle for a delectable snack of sweet potato fries when it hit us…..Indianapolis is full of some strange looking people. With that in mind we got out as quick as possible. Drivinnng….. drove…drove. Hit Illinois and finally got some real sustenance at the Cracker Barrel at around 4pm. We both got some yummy breakfast choices, mine especially cute and yummy because I got Eggys in a basket! Then Chris laughed at me when I wanted Mac & Cheese for dessert…. With our bellys filled up real nice, we are en route again with a long journey ahead to destination KANSAS CITY, MO. We make it to Kansas City and successfully check in to our little hotel room. We are exhausted and go to turn the lights on and none of them work. So after a little room change we are safely in bed with a super creepy guy in the room next to us, Yikesss!
